As an occupational therapy fieldwork educator, your knowledge, supervision, and ability to teach are critical to the success of your students and to the future of occupational therapy. This course is designed specifically for OT and OTA fieldwork educators, PTs, non-OT practitioners, and academic fieldwork coordinators.
Why should I take the FWECP workshop?
- Deeper understanding of your role as a fieldwork educator.
- Effective strategies to integrate learning theories and supervision models.
- Increased skills to provide high-quality educational opportunities during fieldwork experiences.
- Interaction with trainers through dialogue and reflections about fieldwork.
- Engagement in 4 curricular modules: administration, education, supervision, and evaluation.
- Analysis of strategies to support best practice in fieldwork education.
- 15 contact hours for licensure renewal.
Grant and sponsorship has allowed us to offer this course to 32 participants for $40.
Alison Herman DHSc, MPH, OTR/L, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Julie Silver Seidle PhD, OTR/L, Doctoral Capstone Coordinator are the FWECP trainers who will facilitate the workshop, sponsored by Colorado State University Occupational Therapy Department.
- Plan on being with us in-person starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. each day
- The workshop is limited to 32 participants
- Registration deadline: April 25, 2025 11:59 p.m.
- There will be no registration refunds for cancellations after April 25, 2025.
